Promoting Education

Hands For Peacemaking Foundation works with groups to build schools, provide school desks, teacher’s desks, white boards, school books as well teaching students to plant and grow gardens. The organization administrates the SHARE-Guatemala program in the Barillas area villages which is key in assisting students to stay in school.

Providing economic development

A little financial help, combined with finding a need in the marketplace, can help a villager work their way out of poverty. Hands For Peacemaking provides training and support in enterprises like candle-making & embroidery for villagers, giving them the opportunity to become self-sufficient.
